Comprehensive “Business” Liability Insurance from the Hartford

The Organization of Real Estate Professionals (OREP) is providing access to commercial liability insurance from The Hartford through Marrs Maddocks and Associates insurance agency* to appraisers and home inspectors nationwide. This package offers important protection to small businesses at reduced premiums- beginning at $350 annually.

We are delighted to make this policy available to appraisers and inspectors nationwide through Marrs Maddocks and OREP.”
The core Hartford package provides business liability covering claims of personal injury or property damage caused by you or your employees, personal and advertising injury and more. Coverage can be extended to include damage or repair to your building, equipment and furnishings, loss of business income, equipment breakdown, employee dishonesty (a bond) and more. Umbrella, commercial auto and other coverages also are available.

Those looking for a comprehensive business owners package in the last year or
two, such as the one being offered by the Hartford, have found sky-high rates–
if they were able to obtain the insurance at all: many programs only provide
this type of coverage as an add on to an E&O policy. The Hartford Program is
different: it is available to all appraisers and inspectors regardless of
whether they obtain their E&O through OREP or whether they carry E&O at all.
