On July 1st-, 2001, the new Home Inspector Licensing Laws (Title 5-65-1) were passed, however the licensing program is still pending.  Rhode Island home inspectors are set to be licensed by the Rhode Island Contractor's Registration and Licensing Board, however, at this time, implementation is still pending as per the state's website.
